Classes and lectures:
  • Selected methods of nucleic acid biology (practical course as compact course, 3 SWS)
Workload:
  • 70 Hours private studies
  • 45 Hours in-classroom work
Contents of teaching:
  • Studying nucleic acid/protein interactions
  • Isolation and analysis of total RNA from eukaryotic cells
  • Automated Sanger-Sequencing
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
  • Students learn basic molecular methods for handling nucleic acids and proteins
  • Students are able to translate theoretical contexts into independent and autonomous experimental work
