Stockbreeding Cooperative (GTH)

At our Stockbreeding Cooperative (GTH) of the Universität zu Lübeck, we are responsible for the care of all animals kept on the campuses of the Universität zu Lübeck and the UKSH Lübeck Campus, pursuant to §7 of the Protection of Animals Act. Our staff at GTH is consequently accountable for compliance with the law governing the breeding, keeping, care, health, import and export (domestic and international) of these animals. Moreover, we offer training and continuing education programmes in the field of laboratory animals (education to become a zookeeper for research and clinics, expert scientist or veterinarian for laboratory animals, courses on protection of animals, certification pursuant to §16 of TierSchVersV (Protection of Animals Act / Laboratory Animals, and individual advisory and training courses).
