What we offer

Subject matter

Since 2017, we have been an examination center for TestAS. The TestAS is a standardized aptitude test for prospective foreign students. With a good test result, the chances for a study place can increase.

In particular, we offer our participants an intensive preparation course for the TestAS exam.

In addition to TestAS preparation, we offer a wide range of subjects. The subject profile differs depending on the desired course of study. Participants wishing to study "Medical Nutritional Sciences" (MEW), for example, have a stronger focus on the natural sciences, while people wishing to study "Robotics and Autonomous Systems" have a greater proportion of computer science.

The aim is to refresh and deepen the basic knowledge required for a course of study in order to start the first semester with good prospects of success.

Language

In addition to the subject classes, we offer German B2 courses in the winter semester and C1 courses in the following summer semester.

The workload for the German course is 12h and ends with the TestDaF exam in the summer semester.

The TestDaF is the most important German language exam for international applicants. The certificate certifies the required language level, which is demanded at the universities.

The courses are differentiated again within the level to ensure the best possible preparation including small groups.

At the end of the one-year German course you will be able to take up studies or training.

Social

Over the years, it has become apparent that our participants are confronted with a wide variety of problems. To take this into account, we have developed Café Weitblick, which is run by psychology students on a voluntary basis.

There you will find a suitable and empathetic discussion partner for virtually everything, who will try to give you options.

Exemplary questions are:

How do I find an apartment?
How do I apply to university or for a part-time job?
How do I fill out the Bafög application correctly?
In addition, the Propädeutikum organizes regular activities (e.g. climbing, canoeing, picnics) between our participants and students. This is a great way to get in touch with new people.
