This page lists a host of answers from us and students to numerous questions posed on our RAS programme in Lübeck.
No. Please apply directly to the Universität zu Lübeck. You may apply online via the Universität zu Lübeck website.
The application deadline is 15 September each year.
Starting in the winter semester 2016, we will not limit the number of first year bachelor’s degree students. However, to ensure a good teacher-student ratio, we may limit the number of students admitted in subsequent winter semesters.
Our bachelor’s programme in Robotics and Autonomous Systems always starts each winter semester.
You can join the consecutive master’s programme in Robotics and Autonomous Systems in either semester.
If you started your studies in the WS 2010/2011 at the Universität zu Lübeck, you can repeat an exam twice, i.e., take it three times per course (pursuant to §17 Resitting an Examination, per the
Examination Regulations
).
You should sit for an examination only after you meet all the prerequisites but are free to choose either the first or second date. If you fail an examination, you are required to take it again at the next date. A no-show is deemed a failed attempt.
You cannot repeat any examination in which your grade was at least 4.0.
For your bachelor’s degree, you must take at least 8 ECTS credits of compulsory electives. The eligible courses are listed in the programme regulations and the supplementary list from the Examination Committee (visit
Downloads
). If you are interested in a particular course not on the list, please contact the Chair of the Examination Committee as to whether it may be recognised as a compulsory elective. You may take more than three compulsory electives, which allows you to choose the ones that count towards your grade point average. A compulsory course cannot be retaken as a compulsory elective.
For the bachelor’s and master’s level, you must take the number of compulsory electives stated in the respective programme plans. In addition, you must get 4 ECTS credits of any general compulsory elective.
The eligible courses are listed in the programme regulations. You may take more than the required number of compulsory electives, which allows you to choose the ones that count towards your grade point average. A compulsory course cannot be retaken as a compulsory elective.
The Examination Committee may also add other courses to the list of programme-specific and general compulsory courses.
At the Universität zu Lübeck, we offer a six semester Bachelor of Science in RAS and a consecutive four semester Master of Science in RAS.
You can start your bachelor’s programme in RAS in any winter semester.
The programme comprises four main pillars: mathematics, informatics, electrical engineering and engineering mechanics. Moreover, you will acquire a solid foundation in connecting elements of relevance to robotics. You do not have to complete any special courses – but you should be interested in these fields.
Every May or June, we hold a Trial Day at the Universität zu Lübeck. We will post or link the precise date on the RAS website. We also have representatives at a host of Abitur Fairs.
