Master’s Degree

Programme Syllabus

In contrast to the bachelor’s degree, our master’s programme is more open, providing considerable room to choose electives, practical training and, of course, your thesis topic. In the overview you will find the required moduls in blue and the optinal moduls in orange (see above).

The first-year concentrates on theory. The second year follows up with essentially practical training  over several months, in the form of two training blocks (Practical courses or internship) and a master’s thesis, all three in real research projects.

Majors for your master’s degree:

You can choose from among the following
majors

  • A Structural Biology
(e.g., Structure and function of enzymes, materials research)
  • B Neurosciences
    and their application in medicine
  • C Clinical Immunology
    or
  • D Cell Biology
(any combination of compulsory electives, block training and consolidation courses)

Just as for the bachelor’s degree, the formalities for completing the programme are set forth in the Programme and Examination Regulations – which you can access here
